MESSAGE FROM THE EPICENTER

The Invisible Destroyer

Proverbs 16:16

Sermon Recap

What God wants us to remember

Pride is an invisible destroyer—easy to recognize in others yet difficult to see within ourselves. This message exposes how pride attempts to replace God by resisting His authority, rejecting dependence upon Him, and reaching for the glory that belongs to Him. We are challenged to humble ourselves, receive correction, surrender control, and restore God to His rightful place on the throne of our hearts.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Pride resists God’s authority.
Pride rejects dependence upon God.
Pride reaches for the glory that belongs to God.

REFLECT & RESPOND

In what area of my life have I been sitting on the throne instead of allowing God to lead?
What correction or instruction from God have I been resisting?

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, search my heart and expose every form of pride within me. Forgive me for resisting Your authority, relying upon myself, and seeking the glory that belongs to You. Teach me to surrender, receive correction, and depend completely upon You. Take Your rightful place on the throne of my heart and restore everything pride has damaged. In Jesus’ name, amen.
